Up the Week: Intro

Hello there!

This is a blog devoted to my studio practice. I’ll be updating weekly with current projects/arts/etc.

Right now I’ll get you updated, and show you some pictures of my recent art.

Slow Loris made out of a 6"x6" Sheet of Copper.

I am currently a student at the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine. I’m planning on majoring in print next semester.

Before that I was a student at Temple University

Before that I was riding my bicycle across half of the the  United States with my friend Rosemary.

Before that I was working in the Jenkintown Public Library and spending lots of time in the stacks

and Before that I was attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

the book Truth Beyond Relativism with every single word cut out.

Needless to say, I’ve had a bit of an eclectic lifestyle since high school, and I’m finally in a place where I am staying still long enough to focus on my art and studio practice in a purposeful way.

Klimt/Cassatt crossover painting. Tempera on Board.

This blog will gain more in the way of format as I go on, but for now Its going to be a way for me to share art and studio things as they happen. It’ll update on saturdays (which means, tomorrow!)

See you tomorrow,

Emmeline.
